Get a headstart on onboarding steps!
The following onboarding steps need to be completed before going to your site and meeting with students:
If you are a Boys & Girls Club volunteer, you do not need to have fingerprints done.Â
For all public school volunteers (Boston, Chelsea and Framingham) you will need to have your fingerprints run through Identogo.
Fingerprints are valid for four years of active service, as long as you are not away from the organization for more than 180 days.
Please see the below link for a list of who needs to have a fingerprinting appointment, and for instructions for how to schedule the appointment. If your name is not on the list, you do not need to get your fingerprints done this year.Â
If you are volunteering at a Boston Public School, you will need to complete the BPS CORI Form.Â
Winship Volunteers: please select the Winship school for your volunteer location. You will need to go to the Winship school at least a week before meeting with students to share your ID with the Winship School office in order for them to run your CORI.Â
For all other BPS Volunteers, you will need to select “Partner - Literations” for your volunteer location in order for us to process the form:
WAIT! Read it again: Winship volunteers select Winship for their volunteer location, and all other BPS volunteers select “Partner - Literations” for their volunteer location.Â
